Ever cook a dish and think it’s just missing that one thing, that one ingredient, sauce or dressing that would make it go from a solid 9 t a perfect 10/10 dish? Ever thought that one thing might be mint sauce? If you eat Indian/Pakistani food a lot, you may already know that mint sauce is a commonly used dressing/dip, that perfectly complements a lot of both spicy and non-spicy dishes. The only thing is, is how do you get the same flavour sauce as what you get in restaurants? Sure you can buy it already made up from the supermarket, but that doesn’t quite do the sauce justice.
Well luckily for you, we have decided to share one of our delicious min sauce recipes with you! So put down that premade mint sauce, pick up some ingredients and get concocting your very own Zouk recipe mint sauce!
Below are a a complete list of ingredients you will need to make the sauce:
1 bunch fresh mint
500mls natural yoghurt
1 tablespoon salt
1 and ½ teaspoons ground cumin
½ bunch fresh coriander
1 tablespoon lemon juice
3 whole green chillies
1 teaspoon sugar
Mint sauce is literally one of the easiest things to make yourself at home. It isn’t one of these sides that takes a lot of prepping time, uses up a load of cutlery or even takes a long time to make. There is only two major steps to take when making min sauce using this recipe.
Step1: Put everything except the yoghurt into a blender and blend until well combined.
Step 2: Pour the blended mixture into the yoghurt and stir well.
Vuola, there you have it, the perfect mint sauce, made in a matter of minutes!
As a side note, as long as the sauce is put straight into the fridge in an airtight container, the sauce should keep well for roughly 3-4 days.
