People enjoy Zouk food so much, we’re often asked about how it’s cooked. Ever keen to share our passion for the very best in Indian and Pakistani cuisine.
We set up our Cookery School, where curry lovers could come along and learn a thing or two from our expert chefs.
Each course only takes half a day and teaches you to prepare and cook two starters, two main courses a rice side dish and either a naan or roti bread. Give us a little notice and we can even include a personal favourite of the day. Our classes take place at our Indian Restaurant in Manchester and begin at 10 am and finish around 1.30pm.
The class has the right mix of learning new skills working in teams and a little bit of competition all rounded off with a fantastic lunch and access to our mezzanine floor workspace where you can get your minds in gear and brainstorm some creative ideas for your workplace.
Typical Course Itinerary:
Greeting, introduction and desi chai for all. We kit out your team with their recipe booklets and aprons.
10.15: Start Cooking
Starters: Seekh Kebab, Samosa Chaat & Mint Sauce
11.15: Start Cooking Main Course
Chicken Jalfrezi, pilau rice and freshly baked naan breads/chappattis
And… our interactive Chapptti challenge which gets everybody engaged and keeps things interesting while teaching you a new skill. For the creator of the best chapatti there is a special prize to take home.
12.30: Break for lunch
To enjoy all the food you have cooked and prepped
If you have some additional guests that didn’t want to do the cooking but want to join for the lunch and brainstorm session they could join at this point I would just need to know numbers
1.30 – 2.30: Teas & Coffees
Provided upstairs for a brainstorming /strategy session for you and your team.
We will set out drinks and leave you with your flip chart and pens to enjoy the area and get down to some creative thinking
Your team departs complete with recipe books, full tummies, new cookery skills to impress your family and friends and lots of new creative ideas to take back to the office. If any of your team have special dietary requirements do let us know and we’d be happy to create a bespoke menu that suits your whole group.

Want the whole Company to share the Zouk experience?
If your team is so big you think an off-site session is not the best option then we can bring Zouk to you. For training days, family days or open days we can bring a taste of India to your event. We simply bring our marquee and pop up kitchen to you on a day of your choice.
Our Zouk team can bring their fine fare and outstanding cooking skills and share both with your employees. Grab a spot of lunch or refreshment from the live BBQ or call into the cooking tent on your break to learn a new skill like how to make to make a chapatti or a samosa. All we need is some outdoor space like an area of your car park and we bring the rest. Prices available on asking.
