Scroll Down

When Zouk celebrates Eid al-Adha we don’t do it by halves.  This year we’re celebrating with our halal Indian-style Sunday Roast.

Eid plans always come together at the last minute and this year falls on Sunday 16th June - the same day as the UK celebrates Father's Day. As usual we'll be open all day from 8:00am to midnight. Zouk serves breakfast on Sundays from 8:00am to 12 noon, Sunday Roast from 12 noon to 5pm and our usual a la carte menu in the evening. This offers diners a bit more choice when choosing the perfect time for a special Eid meal.

Customers can join us to celebrate Eid with a Sunday roast from 12 noon to 5pm. The Zouk Sunday Roast is renowned for its family sized Sharing Platters, pictured above left. These include 3 roasted meats, Yorkshire puddings and all the trimmings. A highlight of the Zouk Sunday roast is our spicy gravy, pictured above centre, which is a firm favourite with customers and oozing with flavour.

From 5pm onwards we'll be serving our a la carte menu. This includes starters, small plates, grilled dishes and traditional curries. Our famous Lamb Nihari, pictured above right, is the perfect Eid treat. this dish is made with Lamb fillet and is slowly cooked for 6 hours. We always serve it with a spice tray or green chilli, Garam Masala, friend onions, ginger, coriander and fresh lemon wedges. Guests are advised to sprinkle on their favourite accompaniments to bring out the flavours.

Whole Stuffed Lamb

If you are dining with a larger party, then you could opt for our whole stuffed roast lamb or leg of lamb. This lamb is marinated for 24 hours in Zouk’s special blend of herbs & spices before being stuffed with vegetable rice. It is then slowly roasted and basted throughout the cooking process to keep the meat juicy and tender. If you order this special meal, then you had better bring your appetite as it serves up to 15 people. The price, which is based on the weight of the lamb is roughly £350 or £25 per person and includes all the accompaniments and trimmings.  To keep things authentic this includes; tasty vegetable pilau, heaps of golden roasted potatoes, delicious sautéed veg and a flavoursome spicy gravy.

For smaller groups legs of lamb raan are also available and serve 4-6 people.

Eid al-Adha at Home

If you prefer to celebrate Eid in the comfort of your own home, then you don’t have to miss out on all the fun. You can now order any of our roasts for collection to take away and enjoy at home.  We do require a little notice for this, however, so that we have time to marinade the meat, cook it and pack it. We do all the leg work so that it is piping hot and ready to serve when you get it home. Details of how to order this can be found below.

Prefer to prepare a homemade feast? Then look at our top tips from head chef Mangal Rawat.  Mangal has shared lots of advice for preparing the perfect roasted lamb raan at home.
