There are many places to eat near the Palace Theatre and The Opera House but in our humble opinion, Zouk is one of the best! Before you check out our menus here is a little run down at what's coming up at these fabulous theatres!

Festive Shows at The Palace Theatre Manchester

Elf the Musical comes to the Palace Theatre this month and if you are not feeling festive yet this is a show to get you in the mood! Based on the beloved 2003 film starring Will Ferrel, nothing will spread the Christmas cheer like this modern-day musical. Elf Starts on Tuesday 12th November and runs until Sunday 17th November. There are matinees on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, making it the perfect family outing. Keep reading for info on Zouk's Elf-inspired Ice Cream Sundae Dessert.

Elf is A Fabulous Festive Show

Following Elf, The Palace welcomes Blood Brothers to the stage, from the 19th of November to the 30th of November. This emotionally charged musical tells the story of twin brothers who are separated at birth. Blood Brothers is recommended for age 12+ having been written for a more mature audience. This multi-award-wining musical is famed for it songs, Bright New Day, Marilyn Monroe and Tell Me It's Not True. This is a show that is loved by audiences and a superb evening out. Get your tickets booked on The Palace website and visit Zouk before for our fabulous pre-theatre dining offer or afterwards to discuss the performance over drinks. We're open until midnight every day and our kitchen takes orders until 11:45 pm.

Fans of Oz will love the Palaces' December show, the award-winning Wicked! Over 12 million people have watched this show at the Apollo Victoria Theatre in London. The Palace is the perfect venue for the show to land in Manchester. Wicked is recommended for ages 7+ due to the loud noises, flashing lights, smoke effect and strobe lighting that feature in the production. It's a fabulous performance that will give families a theatre trip to remember. Whether you are catching the evening show or a matinee remember Zouk is open from 9:00 am to midnight daily and can fit perfectly around your show time.

Pre-Theatre Menu

We love to offer extra value to our customers and our Pre-Theatre dining menu does just that! An evening at the theatre can become expensive but dining at Zouk and taking advantage of our pre-theatre menu will help make this cultural experience memorable and affordable. Arrive early and indulge in 3 courses for £25 or make a pit stop and try two courses for just £20. If you are a little tight on time we also offer a range of small places or light bites that are easy to grab before the show. Zouk is just off Oxford Road and only a short walk from The Palace Theatre. The pre-theatre menu is available from 4 pm to 7 pm Monday to Saturday.

Parking near The Palace Theatre

As well as being one of the best places to eat near The Palace Theatre, there is also plenty of parking outside Zouk restaurant. You can find on-street parking meters on Chester Street and the surrounding roads. These are free after 8 pm. Also on Chester Street, there is an NCP car park a few doors down from Zouk Tea Bar & Grill. However, if using the NCP do remember you will need your car registration to gain entry to the car park after the show.

Elf Sundae Dessert

Zouk has created the cutest Christmas Dessert for little ones - The Elf Sundae. Treat your tykes to a festive pudding with this colourful Ice Cream Sundae. It includes 3 scoops of Ice Cream in vanilla, strawberry and mint flavours, all topped with festive sprinkles and a Christmas Candy Cane. Subject to availability this yuletide treat will be on offer throughout the Christmas period. If you are going to see Wicked, then the Miss Pistachio Dessert is green, delicious and sure to get you in the mood!

What's on at The Opera House

Don't forget about the Palace's sister venue the Opera House. This grand theatre is also only a short distance away from Zouk on foot or in a taxi. Zouk is the perfect spot for pre-theatre or post-show drinks and dining and is open until midnight! This December their festive pantomime is Cinderella and it runs from 14th December to 5th January 2025. Find out if Cinderella makes it to the ball and meets her Prince Charming, AKA Jason Manford, in this festive family favourite that's loved by the young and the old!

Zouk likes to support its neighbouring businesses whenever we can. This is why we offer a little extra for holders of AGT+ cards. If you are joining us before the show for our pre-Theatre menu simply show your AGT+ card and our servers will also offer you a complimentary drink. This includes a small glass of house wine, a 330ml bottle of Cobra beer or a soft drink. AGT+ cardholders get a range of benefits and info can be found on the Palace and Opera House sites. Occasionally throughout the year, Zouk may have additional offers for card holders such as themed drinks during larger production runs.
