Zouk & Mission Christmas – Get Involved
It's our favourite time of year again. Christmas is just around the corner and things are ramping up at Mission Christmas headquarters. Every year, Zouk lends a hand to the amazing team at Cash for Kids. They spend the month of December collecting, wrapping and delivering gifts to the children of families in need throughout Manchester.
This is such an amazing campaign that touches our hearts each year. We are supporting Cash for Kids with a cash donation to buy gifts and sponsorship of their airtime. This helps raise awareness for Mission Christmas on Hits Radio. We've also called in to Mission Christmas Headquarters with some delicious food for all the volunteers and some extra gifts. We'd like to share with you all some information on what we have done to help and how you can get involved with Zouk & Mission Christmas.
What to Donate
The Zouk team caught up with up with Charity Manager Jess Rigby this week to find out how the appeal is going and what they still need. Jess commented 'We still need lots of items for boys and girls aged between 9 and 18 years old. Things like books, hats, scarves and gloves or items of stationery are perfect gifts for these ages. We also would welcome make-up, toiletry sets, hairdryers, footballs or clothing such as slippers, pyjamas, hoodies and fleeces.'
Zouk owner Tayub Amjad said 'Supporting Mission Christmas has become a tradition for Zouk. It is great to be able to give something back to the local community and this year the need is greater than ever. We hope all the families being supported by the campaign have a wonderful Christmas and thank you to Cash for Kids for their amazing work.'
Zouk at Mission Headquarters
The Zouk team couldn't resist popping into Mission Christmas Headquarters this week to treat the volunteers to some tasty food. As well as fuelling the team for a long day of wrapping, we delivered some of the gifts that the warehouse shelves were particularly short of. We'd like to thank our lovely Zouk ambassadors who gave up their time to help us deliver the food and gifts. They also did an amazing job of raising awareness of Mission Christmas on their social platforms. Huge thanks to @milliegshields, @graceprosser13, @demibradyx, @madisonsarah_ and @isobellkeating!
The final day for donating gifts this year will be Thursday 21st of December so there is still time to purchase a gift and make your contribution to Mission Christmas. You could really transform a child's Christmas Day.
