Manchester Ramadan Buffet – Iftar at Zouk
The famous Zouk Manchester Ramadan Buffet returns on Monday 11th March offering the perfect way to celebrate Iftar with friends and family. Every day throughout Ramadan we’ll be welcoming customers to come and break their fast at Zouk with this fabulous spread of much-loved dishes. Our delicious Itfar buffet features a selection of starters, salads, carvery, curries, desserts, and so much more. We provide all guests with dates, water, and other fruits, upon being seated at the table so fast can be broken traditionally before enjoying the buffet.
Our Ramadan buffet is £30 per person for adults, £15 per child (under 12) and free for children under 5. Although we do accept walk-ins, we highly recommend booking in advance due to how popular our restaurant is during the Itfar buffet.
On Arrival
Customers will be greeted on arrival and taken to their table where fruit chaat, dates, traditional Jallab (a hydrating drink made with grape molasses, dates and rose water) and water await. Once seated, guests can go up to the buffet and enjoy the daily selection of food which will include salads, starters, curries, roasted lamb raan and a selection of accompaniments. The Ramadan buffet is £30 per person for adults, £15.00 per child (under 12) and free for children under 5. As the Itfar buffet is bottomless, you are welcome to try the daily selection of food at your own pace, savouring the taste while enjoying the atmosphere with other diners.
Our Iftar Menu
Our Iftar menu rotates daily, meaning that Zouk can be your go-to spot to break fast with family and friends throughout Ramadan. This variation of dishes ensures that there will always be something new to try if you choose to celebrate Itfar at Zouk regularly over Ramadan. Our Itfar menu caters to all dietary needs, including vegetarian or vegan, making Zouk the perfect Ramadan restaurant in Manchester.
As well as our large selection of curries and accompaniments, we serve a live carvery featuring our stunning Lamb Raan. At the weekend, we serve a Whole Stuffed Lamb Raan, and during weekdays we serve Leg Lamb Raan, which are two of our most popular dishes - we are delighted to offer this as part of our Ramadan buffet in 2024. For those looking for a lighter meal to break fast with, we have a stunning range of starters and salads. Our Vegetable Samosas, Chicken Tikka, Seekh Kebabs, Spinach Rolls, and Kachumber Salad are all fantastic options which you can enjoy as part of Zouk’s Ramadan buffet.
Whilst we can’t guarantee in advance which options will be available on a given day, you will have plenty of choice with the following number of dishes served as part of the buffet:
- Two salads
- Five starters
- Three curries
- Six desserts
And don’t forget, we will also serve accompaniments and our live carvery in addition to the above. Please see our full Itfar buffet menu below:

Ramadan Buffet Timings
We will have one sitting at Iftar every day but do please note the time of Iftar changes slightly as the month goes on. We will have one sitting at Iftar every day but please note the time of Iftar changes slightly as the month goes on. This is because the timing of the daily Iftar prayer follows the changing sunset times throughout Ramadan. If you would like to find out more information as to when the Iftar buffet will be on a particular day, please speak to one of our team or consult the 2024 Manchester Ramadan Timetable from Islamic Relief.
FAQs: Iftar At Zouk
Have questions about our Iftar buffet? We've answered some of the most common queries below. If you have a question about our Ramadan buffet after consulting this section, please don’t hesitate to contact our friendly team
Do I need to book for the Iftar buffet?
We strongly recommend booking for Iftar in advance on our website. There is a £10 deposit required per person but as spaces are limited this is necessary to confirm your place. You can book for the buffet the same way you would make a normal reservation. Simply add the word 'buffet' to the notes so we know this is what you are joining us for. You will notice it is not possible to book for an hour before Iftar - this is because it takes an hour to prepare the restaurant for the buffet.
Does the Iftar buffet allow for multiple servings?
Our Iftar buffet is designed for guests to enjoy a fulfilling meal. While there's no limit to the amount you can try, we encourage you to explore the diverse flavours our halal food has to offer.
Do I need to be fasting to join the Iftar buffet?
Everyone is welcome to join us for the buffet you do not have to be fasting to make a booking. This is a special time of year and we welcome everyone.
Is there anywhere for guests to pray at Zouk?
Unfortunately, we do not have a dedicated prayer room but we do have a small space at the back of the restaurant where guests can pray. Mats and privacy screens are provided.
Do you offer any special treats with the Iftar buffet?
At the end of your meal, each table will receive a small gift box of luxury stuffed dates with their bill.
Will I get my deposit back?
As covered, there is a £10 deposit required per person. All deposits will be deducted from the final bill.
Charity Support
Every year throughout the month of Ramadan we work to support local charities. This ranges from donating meals to donating vital funds. In the past, we have donated hot meals and funds to the homeless of Manchester. This year we plan to donate meals to the Islamic Society of Britain in Manchester to feed the homeless. We will also continue our donation of weekly meals to local charity, Two Brews, who do outreach to vulnerable and homeless people every day of the year.
