The Story Behind Zouk’s Halal Breakfast Buffet
Zouk was the first restaurant in Manchester to launch a dedicated halal breakfast buffet experience — originally introduced as a special celebration for Eid.
Following overwhelming demand and a viral response across social media, the breakfast buffet welcomed more than 1,000 guests across just three days during its original launch. This highlights a clear appetite for premium halal breakfast and brunch experiences within Manchester’s food scene.
Following the success of the event, Zouk made the decision to turn the concept into a permanent weekend offering.

A Permanent Weekend Fixture
Today, guests can enjoy Zouk’s popular unlimited halal breakfast buffet every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9:00am until 12 noon — bringing together traditional desi breakfast favourites, full halal English breakfast classics, live cooking stations, freshly prepared desserts and vibrant brunch dishes all under one roof.
“Breakfast has always been a huge part of Pakistani and Indian food culture — it’s about comfort, family and taking time to properly enjoy food together. Whether it’s a traditional desi breakfast, a full English and chai, or something sweet from the dessert station, there’s something really special about gathering around the table in the morning.
When we originally launched the breakfast buffet for Eid, the response was incredible. We welcomed more than 1,000 guests in just three days and realised there was a real appetite in Manchester for a premium halal breakfast and brunch experience like this.
That’s why we decided to make it a permanent fixture every weekend at Zouk. There’s nothing quite as comforting as a full English breakfast with a hot chai shared with friends and family.”
