Our traditional roast dinners are served on Sundays between 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee our roast will be available after 4:30 pm as it often sells out and is offered on a first come, first serve basis. We recommend booking as early as is convenient to ensure the roast is available for your visit. Zouk Special Roasts
If you want to enjoy a roast dish but don’t want to wait until Sunday, why not opt for a Zouk special roast? Also known as a saji roast, you can choose from three delicious dishes all prepared using authentic Indian Raan spices.
- Whole Roast Raan Chicken - prepared in authentic Indian spices and slowly cooked over hot flames.
- Leg Of Lamb - prepared in traditional Indian spices and slow-cooked over hot flames until tender.
- Whole Stuffed Lamb - made in a Baluchi style and stuffed with deliciously seasoned rice.
What differentiates our special roasts from our Sunday roasts is the selection of delightful accompaniments that the meat is served with. Rather than being served with traditional roast dinner sides, such as Yorkshire puddings and cauliflower cheese, our special roasts instead come with spicy Indian-style potatoes, seasonal vegetables and our ever-popular spicy gravy.
Saji roasts must be pre-ordered due to the time taken to marinate and slow-cook the meats. For our whole chicken and leg of lamb roasts, we ask for at least 2-hour notice prior to your booking, although 24 hours would be ideal. However, it is especially important when ordering the whole roast lamb to give us at least 48-hour notice. This is because we order the whole lamb from our halal-certified butcher, before marinating for an entire day to allow our unique blend of species and herbs to fully infuse into the meat.

It can be difficult to choose between our tantalising selection of meats, which is why we offer two Sunday roast-sharing platters – the perfect dishes to enjoy with friends and family. Our Sunday roast-sharing platters have everything you could want from a roast dinner, including a delicious selection of succulent meats, crispy roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and all of your favourite vegetables. Our Sunday roast-sharing platters can be ordered as follows:
- Zouk Roast Platter for 2 – A whole roast poussin, roast lamb and topside of beef served with seasonal veg, roast potatoes, spicy gravy and Yorkshire puddings.
- Zouk Roast Platter for 4 – A whole roast chicken, roast lamb and topside of beef served with seasonal veg, roast potatoes, spicy gravy and Yorkshire puddings.
We are often asked about how our Sunday roasts and saji roasts differ. In truth, they are very similar! Our Sunday roasts are served with all of the traditional accompaniments such as Yorkshire puddings, golden roast potatoes and cauliflower cheese. However, our saji roasts are served with different accompaniments; spicy Indian potatoes and seasonal veg. So please note, if you would like to enjoy a traditional roast dinner with all the trimmings, you will need to book a Sunday roast instead of a saji roast.
It’s not often that you can enjoy a Sunday roast in the sunshine, but you can at Zouk. Zouk’s Whole Roast Lamb Raan creates a genuinely unforgettable dining experience. Many travel from all across the UK to experience our Whole Roast Lamb Raan which is beautifully seasoned and slow-roasted to perfection. Made in the traditional Baluchi style and stuffed with seasoned rice. Our Whole Roast Lamb Raan serves between 15 to 20 people and this dish must be pre-ordered 48 hours in advance.
