
Zouk Tea Bar & Grill Presents ‘Dine for Palestine’
A Culinary Journey with Chef Izzeldin Bukhari
Manchester, UK – May 23, 2025 — Zouk Tea Bar & Grill is honoured to host a unique dining experience, Dine for Palestine, on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 7:00 PM. This exclusive event features a specially curated Gazan menu crafted by acclaimed Palestinian chef Izzeldin Bukhari, founder of Sacred Cuisine.


A Celebration of Palestinian Heritage
Chef Bukhari, a culinary artist from Jerusalem, brings his rich heritage to Manchester for the first time. His approach to cooking emphasises the sacredness of food, viewing it as a divine gift and an act of love . Through Sacred Cuisine, he offers food tours, cooking classes, and events that highlight the depth and diversity of Palestinian vegetarian and vegan cuisine.


Zouk founder Tayub Amjad commented 'We're delighted to welcome Izzeldin and Sacred Cuisine to our restaurant and to host this special fundraising meal for the people of Gaza. The event will take place on Zouk's Mezzanine floor which is a space available for private dining and events at it's Chester Street restaurant. Zouk is known for it's halal cuisine and its large outdoor terrace which features a decorative flower wall.

- Appetizer: Romaniyeh – Aubergine, lentils, tahini, dill seeds & pomegranate
- Salad: Dagga Salad – Tomatoes, fresh dill, onions
- Main Course: Vegetable Maqluba – Rice, cauliflower, eggplant, potato, and tomato served with cucumber and dry mint yoghurt
- Dessert: Semolina Pudding with berry sauce
