Free Student Welcome Party Manchester 2026

NEW CITY. NEW PEOPLE. MEET AT ZOUK.  Wednesday 30 September 2026 • 7pm–9pm • Zouk mezzanine • free welcome drink and nibbles

Starting university, returning to Manchester or looking for new people and societies to meet? Join us for the Zouk Student Welcome Party: a free evening designed to bring Manchester’s student community together.

The party takes place on the mezzanine at Zouk Tea Bar & Grill on Wednesday 30 September from 7pm until 9pm. It is open to students from universities and colleges across Manchester, along with university societies, student groups and Students’ Union representatives.

What to Expect

• A complimentary welcome drink, with alcoholic and alcohol-free options
• Zouk nibbles
• Music and a relaxed social atmosphere
• A chance to meet students from across Manchester
• Information about Zouk’s student offers
• Introductions to university societies and student groups

This is a welcome event rather than a typical club night. Come with flatmates or come on your own, meet people and discover another place to eat, meet and celebrate during your time in Manchester.

University Societies and Student Groups Are Invited

We would love university societies, student networks, sports clubs, cultural and faith societies, academic groups and Students’ Union representatives to join us.

If you help run a society, the evening is a chance to meet potential members, connect with other committees and see the Zouk mezzanine. You can also speak to our team about welcome socials, committee dinners, group dining, Christmas events, collaborations and possible event support during the academic year. Society committee? Discover the New Zouk Student Offers

Students can enjoy 20% off food and drink at Zouk from Monday to Friday between 11am and 7pm with valid student ID. On Fridays, students can instead buy one unlimited breakfast buffet and get a second breakfast buffet free from 9am to 12 noon. The offers cannot be combined. Places are free but capacity on the mezzanine is limited, so advance registration is recommended. Book using the link below and bring current student ID with you on the night.

Select Wednesday 30th September and add the words "STUDENT WELCOME" to the booking notes. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing news of all our offers for students and societies. we'll also treat you to a drink on us and some complimentary halal Indian nibbles.
