Zouk Tea Bar & Grill is located on Chester Street, just off Oxford Road and close to both the University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University. We serve halal Indian and Pakistani food in a lively city-centre restaurant, with student offers, group dining, society events and plenty of alcohol-free choices.

Students can enjoy 20% off food and drink at Zouk from Monday to Friday between 11am and 7pm. Simply show a valid student ID when you visit and let your server know that you would like to use the student offer.

It is ideal for lunch between lectures, an afternoon catch-up, an early dinner with flatmates or food before an evening in Manchester. Start Friday with a proper breakfast at Zouk. Our unlimited halal breakfast buffet brings together desi favourites, halal Full English classics, live cooking, fruit, pastries and more.

Free Zouk Student Welcome Party

New city. New people. Meet at Zouk. On Wednesday 30 September 2026, we are welcoming students from across Manchester to a free Student Welcome Reception on the Zouk mezzanine from 7pm to 9pm.

Guests can enjoy a complimentary welcome drink and Zouk nibbles, meet other students and discover more about student offers, societies and events at Zouk. Alcoholic and alcohol-free welcome drinks will be available. Students, society committees, student groups and Students’ Union representatives are all welcome. Advance registration is recommended.

A Manchester Venue for University Societies

Looking for somewhere to hold a welcome social, committee dinner, networking event, awards night or end-of-term celebration? Zouk offers restaurant group dining and a flexible mezzanine space for university societies and student organisations.

Our halal menu, vegetarian and vegan choices, sharing dishes and alcohol-free drinks can make planning for a mixed group easier. Halal Student Dining Near Oxford Road

Our food menu is fully halal and inspired by the cuisines of India and Pakistan. Students can choose from grills, curries, biryanis, vegetarian dishes, breads, sides and desserts, alongside cocktails, mocktails and soft drinks.

Zouk is within easy reach of Oxford Road, Circle Square, First Street and central Manchester student accommodation. That makes us a convenient meeting point when friends study on different campuses or live in different parts of the city.

Lunch, Dinner and Celebrations

A quick lunch and a society takeover need very different things, so Zouk offers several ways to visit. Join us for a weekday lunch, bring your flatmates for dinner, reserve tables for a birthday or ask our events team about the mezzanine for a larger gathering.
